Over thanksgiving, in Oregon , there was an attempted act of terrorism. The attempted detonation of a bomb during a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony set up by the FBI, though. They gave Mohamed Osman Mohamud the “explosives” and a cell phone and told him what to dial to detonate the weapons inside of a van parked in the midst of a crowd. Although it is obvious 19 year old Mohamed he is pleading not guilty, the defense saying that it was entrapment. The entrapment argument has many flaws. One being the FBI didn’t provide Mohamed the plan, only the equipment. Also, they say that the gave him many chances to back out saying that he didn’t have to do this to be a good Muslim and at every chance he wanted to go ahead with the act. Finally, out of all of the claimed entrapments since 9/11, not one has been acquitted.

Mohamed Osman Mohamud
"This is an investigation I have been familiar with throughout its course and I am confident there is no entrapment here and the entrapment claim will prove to be successful."
