Children Inspiring Hope

A few days ago in class we learned about a program called Children Inspiring Hope. It is an organization in which children from America are connected to a classroom in Ghana. I feel it is very helpful to know about our neighbors on the planet. I would describe this program as a program in which children in an American classroom are connected by letters, artwork, videos, pictures, and more. To me the word peace means mutual agreement and trust. When I think of peace, I think of the U.N. and their goal of making the world safe for everyone. I promote peace by recycling. It seems like there is no relation but I feel if I recycle, there will be more land on Earth so there will be less need to fight over it. In the future, I see myself promoting peace by donating money to not for profit organizations who help promote peace. Creating peace through mediating is my path. I feel that if people help nations talk out and solve their problems and differences, this world would be much more peaceful. I think it would be very meaningful if we sent a giant class picture to Ghana. Surrounding it should be our artwork and maybe some short letters talking about life and learning in the U.S. for the kids in Ghana to respond to.
